What does class look like?

Here at PF607, the class is an engaging one-hour group session led by a knowledgeable coach. Here’s what you can expect during a typical class:

  1. Whiteboard Brief
    At the beginning of the class, everyone gathers around a whiteboard. Here, the coach explains the workout, detailing the movements, the intended stimulus (the purpose and desired intensity), and suggestions for scaling options.

  2. Movement Overview
    If you’re unsure about any movements on the board, don’t worry! After the brief, the coach will guide you through each movement. Your first class will prioritize learning proper technique, often using a PVC pipe or a very light barbell for any barbell exercises and scaling other workouts.

  3. Warm-Up
    The coach will lead the class through a warm-up to get your body ready for the workout.

  4. Strength piece
    Following the warm-up, the coach will facilitate a strength lift, focusing on movements that are featured in that cycle's lift.

  5. Workout Prep
    Everyone will gather the necessary equipment for the workout, whether it’s a barbell, DBs, kettlebell, or cardio machine. This step ensures everyone is ready to go when the workout starts. The coach will answer any questions about the workout. 

  6. Workout
    Once everyone is set, the coach will start the clock, and everyone will complete the workout together. This is where the fun and hard work truly begins!

  7. Cleanup
    After the workout, expect plenty of fist bumps and high-fives as you celebrate your effort with fellow athletes. Participants will then wipe down and put away their equipment.

Our classes include all ages, all sizes, and all fitness levels. You are never too old, too new, too weak, too heavy, or too out of shape for us!

WHAT TO BRING

All you have to do is show up, enjoy working out with others, and then do your best. Bring a bottled water and make sure you wear comfortable workout clothes. Please show up 10 miuntes early (no later, no earlier). Please bring an extra set of shoes so your workout shoes do not track in dirt or water.
